How Much PPF Do You Need to Wrap a Car?

A full front takes about 15 to 20 square feet of film on a sedan. A full-body wrap is closer to 50 to 70 linear feet of 5-foot film, and an SUV or a pickup needs more. Those two numbers decide how you buy.

The gap is wide because "PPF a car" is not one job. A partial front covers the bumper, part of the hood, and the mirrors. A full front adds the whole hood and the fenders. A full body goes over doors, roof, quarters, and trunk. Quote the wrong package and the offcut comes out of your pocket, not the customer's.

Thickness changes the count too. A 7.5 mil film handles everyday coverage. For rocker panels, track cars, and off-road front ends that take rock strikes, a thicker 9.5 to 11.5 mil holds up better and cuts the redo calls. Stock the thickness your jobs actually see.
