Not every car needs full body PPF, and telling a customer they do when they don't is a fast way to lose the next three referrals. Match coverage to the car in front of you.

Start with where the damage actually lands. On a normal daily driver, chips come from road debris hitting the front. Bumper, hood leading edge, fenders, mirrors, and the A-pillars catch almost all of it. That's a partial front kit, sometimes called a "clip" or "track pack," and it protects the panels that take 90 percent of the abuse for a fraction of a full wrap's material and labor. For most customers, this is the honest recommendation.

Full body PPF is a different buyer. Think a new performance car, a black or dark paint that shows every swirl, a lease with strict return conditions, or an owner who plans to keep the car ten years. Full coverage means every painted panel, including doors, roof, rear quarters, and rockers. It's more film, more cutting time, and more skill at the edges, so price it accordingly. The upside for the customer is a car that looks new years later with no visible line where protection stops.

The middle option sells more than people expect. A "track pack plus" adds rockers, the rear wheel arches, and the trunk load edge, the spots that get sandblasted on the highway or scuffed loading luggage. Offer three tiers, not two, and most customers pick the middle.

Coverage math only works if the film is clean. Our PPF stretches to wrap curved bumpers and mirror caps without silvering or lifting at the edge, and it's in stock in our California warehouse, so you are not waiting on a container. Cheap film that lifts on a rocker panel after a month costs you the redo, the customer, and the review.

Read the car, read the owner, then quote.

FAQ

What is full body PPF?
Full body PPF covers every painted panel on the car, including doors, roof, quarters and rockers, not just the front. It's the top tier of protection for buyers keeping a car long term or protecting dark, high-value paint.

Is partial PPF worth it?
For most daily drivers, yes. A partial front kit covers the bumper, hood, fenders and mirrors, which take the large majority of road-chip damage, at a much lower cost than full coverage. It's the practical choice for typical customers.

How do I decide full body vs partial PPF for a customer?
Match coverage to use. Daily drivers usually need a front kit. Recommend full body for new performance cars, dark paint that shows swirls, leases, or owners keeping the car many years.

For shops comparing film grades, our Paint Protection Film (PPF) collection lists what is in stock right now.

Screens and clusters are a common add-on ask — see whether it's worth it.
